This policy explains what Writecream collects, why, and your choices. "Writecream", "we" and "us" mean Kridee Innovations Private Limited, which runs writecream.com, app.writecream.com and the Writecream apps. It covers our classic writing tools and Writecream agents, the AI helpers that work on your business. If you have a question, write to privacy@writecream.com.
By using Writecream you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Service.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password, or, if you sign in with Google, your name, email address and profile picture.
- Billing details: your plan, payments and invoices. Our payment providers handle your card. We never see or store your full card number.
- What you give us: text you write or paste, your prompts, your business details, your website address, your setup answers, and the drafts you approve or skip.
- Agent work: drafts, reports, findings, files and a record of each job.
- Connected accounts: only if you connect them. See Connected accounts.
- Usage and device data: your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the date and time, from log files and cookies.
- Messages to us: what you send to our support team.
How we use it
- To run Writecream: the tools, the agents, their results and your briefing emails.
- To take payments, and to find and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To answer you when you contact us.
- To fix problems and improve Writecream.
- To send you news and offers. You can unsubscribe from these at any time.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content or your connected account data to show you ads.
Writecream agents
Agents work on the business you add: your website, your Google listing or your business name. They read public information about your business and your market, such as your own pages, rivals' pages, public reviews, search results and public social profiles. They read your own accounts only if you connect them.
When you add a website, we first read only its front page, robots file, sitemap and one other page.
Anything that would reach a person in your name, such as a review reply, an email or a post, waits for your approval. A few agents act on their own on things you own, such as your own website, and say so before you turn them on.
Email you send. Outreach email goes from your own mailbox, never from ours. Each cold email carries your business name, your postal address and an unsubscribe link. Anyone who unsubscribes goes on your do not contact list, and no agent writes to them again. People you contact can ask us what we hold about them at privacy@writecream.com to have it removed.
The chat on your website. If you add our chat to your website, it keeps your visitors' messages, the page they were on, their rough country and device type, and their contact details only if they choose to leave them. It sets no cookies and does not store IP addresses. Chats are deleted after 90 days. For your visitors' data, you are in charge and we process it for you. Please tell your visitors about the chat in your own privacy notice.
Connected accounts
You choose what to connect, and you can disconnect at any time from the Connections page.
- Google: sign in, Gmail, Search Console and Analytics. See Google user data below.
- Social accounts and your Google Business Profile: connected through our social posting provider, Zernio. You sign in on their page, so we never see your social passwords. We use it to post, reply and read results.
- Microsoft Outlook or your own mail server: to send the emails you approve, from your own address.
- Your website platform, such as WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or Notion: to publish what you approve to your own site.
- Stripe: when you start a plan, Stripe takes your card and handles your payments. We receive your payment status and limited card details, such as the card brand and last four digits.
We store access tokens and passwords for connected accounts in encrypted form. When you disconnect, we delete them on our side. For Google we also cancel the access at Google, and for social accounts we remove the account at Zernio. For Microsoft, please also remove Writecream in your Microsoft account settings.
Google user data
We connect to Google only when you choose to, and we ask only for the access each feature needs.
- Sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile picture, to create your account and sign you in.
- Gmail: permission to send email only. We use it to send the emails you approve, from your own address. We cannot read your inbox.
- Google Search Console: read only. We use it to show how your website appears in Google Search and to find fixes. Some agents send search terms from it to an AI model provider to write your report.
- Google Analytics: read only. We use it to show your website's traffic.
Your Google Business Profile connects through Zernio, not through our own Google access.
Writecream's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In plain words:
- We use Google data only for the features listed above.
- We do not sell it, and we do not use it for ads, including retargeting or personalised ads.
- We do not use it to develop, improve or train general AI or machine learning models.
- Our staff do not read it, unless you ask us to for a specific item, it is needed for security or to investigate abuse, the law requires it, or it has been made anonymous and combined for internal operations.
- We share it only to provide the feature you asked for, such as with an AI model provider that writes your report, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or sale with notice to you.
You can also remove Writecream's access at any time in your Google account's security settings.
Who we share data with
These providers help us run Writecream. Each gets only what its job needs.
- Hosting, storage and email delivery: Amazon Web Services.
- Database: MongoDB Atlas.
- AI model providers, which turn prompts into drafts, summaries and answers: Meta, OpenRouter (which routes to model makers such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google), OpenCode and kie.ai.
- Public data providers for search results, reviews, social profiles and company and market data, such as ReefAPI, RapidAPI and HikerAPI. We mostly send them search terms, such as a business name or a web address.
- Social posting: Zernio.
- Payments: Stripe, PayPal, Lemon Squeezy and Gumroad, and AppSumo for lifetime codes.
- Support, analytics and security on our sites: Intercom, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Rybbit, Reditus, Fraud Blocker and Google reCAPTCHA.
- Screenshot, image and video tools for your reports.
We also share data when the law requires it, to protect people or our rights, or in a merger or sale of our business.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember settings, measure use of our sites and prevent fraud. Some come from the providers listed above. You can block cookies in your browser, but you need them to sign in.
How long we keep data
- Your account and your work: while your account is open.
- Agent job records and chats on your website: 90 days. Notifications: 180 days.
- Reports, files and website figures: up to 13 months. Usage records for billing questions: up to 25 months.
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Your do not contact list: kept, so that a person who opted out is never written to again.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account from your profile page. This deletes your account, the agents' work for every website on it, and your stored connections. Backups and some stored files are cleared on a later schedule. If you want anything else removed, such as saved notes or support history, email privacy@writecream.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to show, correct, delete or export your personal data, or to limit how we use it. California residents can ask what we collect and ask us to delete it, and we do not sell personal information. To make a request, email privacy@writecream.com. We will answer within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security and transfers
We use encrypted connections, encrypt stored tokens and passwords, and limit who can see data. No system is perfectly secure. We and our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States.
Children
Writecream is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post it here with a new date and email you about important changes.
